Result of disobedience

I know pastors who were only dedicated church workers who the church leadership had been observing for years.

The pastor called other ministers, and they prayed and fasted for some days when it was time for them to plant another parish.

All the ministers and the pastor got only one name.

They met in church, and they all revealed the name the Holy Spirit had told them at the pastor's office.

During the service, the pastor casually called out this man and his wife, and he announced to the church that they would be heading the new parish to be planted.

The man worked at PZ as an engineer; the wife worked at Standard Organization of Nigeria.

They didn’t see it coming

After they were prayed for by the church, the pastor chose ten other workers from the church who would go with this man and his wife to plant the new parish.

The man and the wife were speechless

His factory was at Ikorodu

Her office was at Oshodi

New Parish was to be located at Ago Palace way

They have children at RHS

He couldn't make head or tail of it, and neither could the wife

They got home and his wife said No

She said she was not interested in being a pastor or a pastor's wife

The husband implored her to let them pray about it

They prayed for seven days

The Husband received a confirmation

The wife said she will not be a part of it

Husband went to church to report to the senior pastor

Senior pastor told him to embark on the assignment as instructed

The following Sunday, husband went to Ago Palace way to check out the church

By the time he returned home, his wife had packed her bags

She said she will not remain married to him if he insisted on becoming a pastor

She had her reasons

1) He was close to 50 and they had not built their own house

2) She earns more than him and didn't want to add the burden of a faraway church to her various tasks

3) In her opinion, the church will just drain them of their resources, and they cannot afford it

The husband begged

The church begged

The wife insisted he must drop the call

He agreed

The church also supported them

She returned home

Soon after, the husband developed a strange migraine headache

This illness led to the use of eyeglasses

Later, he began to feel lethargic all over

He got a message from an old friend who lives in Canada"

"You are walking in disobedience"

The wife got promoted at work and continued to thrive

One Sunday, he got in his car and drove to Ago Palace way to resume as pastor

When the wife heard, she left again

The husband didn’t go looking for her

Six weeks later, her mother died at Akwa Ibom

She went for the burial and had a serious car crash

She was the only one that was injured in one leg

Husband went to care for her at the hospital

She was there for a year

When she recovered a bit, she began to walk with crutches

She began to follow her husband to Ago Palace way

She attended service like every other member and didn't play any leadership role

The old friend in Canada called the husband from the blue and told him he had arrived in Nigeria

Husband went to see old friend and old friend gave him a house at AIG Imokhuede Street in Magodo Phase 2

Old friend said God told him to give husband a gift of obedience.

Husband worked as a pastor for six years as well as at PZ

The month PZ was to retire him; the church headquarters nominated him to be their missionary to Jordan.

He asked his wife if she would go with him

She said she would join him later after she retires

He left for Jordan

Wife worked for eighteen months and retired

She then joined him in Jordan.
