The Anointing And Your Hands

The Anointing And Your Hands

Do you realise that there’s power in your hands? You actually do have something to give because there’s power inside you. You can transmit God’s healing power into the sick through your hands. God has given you the authority to confront the devils of disease and cure sicknesses.

Right where you are, I will like you to put your hands where you need a miracle. If you have someone who is sick, and read the following out loud, you can put your hands on that part of their body that requires a miracle. I want to pray for you. Expect a miracle right now.

The power of God is directed towards you. In the Name of Jesus, I pray for you to be well – to be sound and healthy. I command sickness to leave your body, the disease to go. I break the power of the Devil off of your mind. I command those pains to seize completely, the tumor to leave, to disappear, in the Name of Jesus. Be healed in the Name of Jesus! I pray for your bones to be healed, for your blood to be cleansed… The Spirit of God is right where you are. Lord, as those hands are lay in that part of the body that requires healing, I declare that healing virtue flows through them into the sick body, curing every ailment and vitalising every muscle, blood, cell, and bone, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch (Acts 5:12).

There’s an enormous release of divine power when we stretch or lift our hands in prayer. The Apostle Paul said, “I would that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting” (1 Timothy 2:8 ). When you lift your hands up to the Lord in prayer, you activate the heavenly powers and make them available on your behalf. So much happens in the realm of the spirit when God’s people stretch or lift their hands in prayer, and some have wondered, “Why is this so?”

You see, your body extremities, such as your fingers, are spiritual points or openings; they’re spiritual vents for either entrance or exit for the Spirit. When we stretch our hands, the anointing is released through our hands. The anointing isn’t the Spirit; it’s the Spirit that gives the anointing, and the Spirit lives in you. He transfers or imparts the anointing through your hands.

The anointing is a special power. It’s the power of God that heals, delivers, removes burdens, and causes people to prosper! The anointing destroys the yoke of bondage, and opens doors! You have something to give; you have something to transfer to others, or to cause a change in your environment and in the regions beyond.

The Bible tells us that by the stretching forth of the hands of the Apostles, many signs and wonders were wrought amongst the people. This means as they stretched forth their hands, hopes were restored; burdens were lifted; sicknesses and diseases were healed; destinies were mended, by the power of the Holy Spirit! The same Spirit is in you today.

The blessings of God for others can be released through your hands. Perhaps you’re in a Church service or in your cell group or fellowship meeting, and a call is made to stretch your hands in prayer, towards someone, a group of people or a particular direction; do so with knowledge and the understanding that there’s power released through your hands.

I am explaining certain mysteries, which you can practise and have amazing results as shown to us in the Scriptures. These mysteries are imperceptible to the human mind, but they’re things we learn from studying the Word. For example, Exodus 17:8-16 tells a beautiful story that shows one of such powerful mysteries. The Amalekites attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. Moses then instructed Joshua to lead the people in battle while he stood on a hill with the staff of God in his hand.

Then the Bible says, “And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed” (Exodus 17:11). Aaron and Hur noticed that there was a connection between the lifting of Moses’ hands and the victory in the battle. So, when Moses’ hands grew tired, they brought a stone for him to sit on and held up his hands, one on either side, ensuring that his hands remained raised until they vanquished Amalek by sunset.

God then told Moses, “…Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven” (Exodus 17:14). This made Joshua to understand how the battle was really won. The secret was in the spirit: the lifting up of Moses’ hands. There’s victory and power through your hands.

The psalmist said in Psalm 141:2, “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.” Also, the apostle Paul said, “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands…” (1 Timothy 2:8). Practise this and you’ll see greater successes and profound victories in your life, in your finances, health, job, ministry and everything that concerns you. Even now, lift your hands to the Lord; it’s a strategy of the Spirit for your continual victory and life of ever-increasing glory.
