Command A Change
In the world of technology, voice commands have changed how we interact with devices. With just a spoken word, doors unlock, lights turn on, and entire systems respond.
It’s fascinating how much power has been placed in the simple act of speaking. Yet, long before these advancements, God revealed a far greater truth: your words are instruments of creation and change.
As a child of God, it makes no difference what challenges you face—they’re bread for you! You’re a victor, not a victim.
You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you” (Job 22:28 NKJV). That’s divine authority! Your mouth is the tool for shaping circumstances and enforcing kingdom realities.
Faith doesn’t wait for visible results before speaking.
Abraham was called “the father of many nations” even before Isaac was born. He declared what God said until it became his reality. Likewise, don’t wait for things to change before speaking differently.
Don’t wait to feel blessed—declare, “I am blessed!” For the Word affirms, “He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3 NIV).
Keep declaring your health, your progress, your peace. Speak to your body, your finances, and every situation around you.
The more you affirm the Word, the more heaven’s realities are established in your life. Remember, even salvation is activated by words (Romans 10:9–10).
Every time you speak in line with the Word, you give divine substance to the unseen. Refuse to stay silent. Keep prophesying your destiny: “My life is upward and forward! I am excellent and full of glory!” If you’ve been in and out of sicknesses, declare divine health and stick to the Word.
Soon enough, your entire being will conform to your faith-filled declarations, keeping your body in health always.
Through the Holy Spirit, we know the things freely given to us by God, and we speak them forth (1 Corinthians 2:12–13). Keep talking! Keep declaring your victory. Hallelujah!
“…Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”( Mark 11:22-23)
Many Christians discuss their challenges rather than talk to them. And that’s not going to change things! In Mark 11:22-23, Jesus gave us the recipe for effecting a change in any situation.
He said “…Whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:23). In other words, to change any seemingly hopeless situation, what you need do is talk to it!
As long as you discuss your challenges instead of commanding a change, you’re not going to get the results the Lord Jesus spoke of—the mountain won’t move. Maybe it’s a growth in your body, and you’ve been complaining about it and receiving sympathy from everyone. It’s time to stop talking about it and talk to it! God gave you a mouth, not just for eating, but so you can speak and effect the changes you desire.
Quit telling others about what you’re going through; stop complaining to God about your predicament; command a change in the Name of Jesus!
“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
Jesus was referring to using His Name with authority and doing great works in His Name. He was emphasising the power and authority vested in His Name, making it clear to us that this authority is effective in bringing about any desired result. Hallelujah!
Let’s examine those words a bit more: First, He said, “If you shall ask anything in my name....” To ask here means to demand something. The Lord Jesus was referring to situations where you demand that something should happen in His Name.
At such moments, He says, “I will cause it to happen.” What an assurance! This is a demonstration of the authority we have in His Name.
An example of this can be found in Acts chapter 3, where Peter and John encountered a man who had been crippled from birth. Peter simply used the Name of Jesus with the understanding of the authority that it wields.
He understood what Jesus meant when He said, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do...” (John 14:13). As a result, Peter demanded healing for the man who was crippled from birth. (Acts 3:7-8). This is precisely what Jesus was talking about—using His Name with authority.
Recall what He said in John 10:25, “...I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.” He commissioned us to do the same in His Name.

We have the authority to speak to anything in His Name and have a miracle. You can speak to broken bones, blind eyes, and every challenging situation in His Name, and there’ll be a change. Glory to God!
When you speak in His Name, He’s present with divine power to ensure that your words come to pass. He guarantees the results. This is the authority we’ve been given; it’s power beyond this world, power to change circumstances in His Name.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith (Mark 11:23).
2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak”; we speak words of faith. Our faith is the victory that overcomes the world (1 John 5:4). We tame and rule the world, and reign over circumstances through our faith proclamations.
As a child of God, you’re not a loser; you’ve already been declared a victor.
You’re more than a conqueror.
Maintain your victory by speaking faith-filled words.
Faith is expressed primarily through your words; you’re not different from your words.
The things that happen with you, and to you in life, are the result of your words; the reason you must talk right and vocalize your faith always.
Understand this: Satan can’t stop your success; he’s been defeated. In Luke 10:18-19, Jesus said, “…I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Colossians 2:15 presents a more vivid imagery of the victory of Jesus over Satan and his cohorts of hell: “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
Therefore, if the circumstances of your life aren’t in sync with the life of victory and dominion that Christ has obtained for you, it’s your responsibility to effect a change.
Don’t cry about it; don’t gripe over it; speak words of faith. Perhaps you’ve been experiencing challenges in your health, speak and effect a change!
Jesus said you shall have what you say; therefore, speak the Word. It may be in your job, finances, or family; refuse to accept defeat. Declare victory.
Your blessing is in your mouth. Don’t complain about the predicament; talk to it. Command a change in the Name of Jesus, and it shall be so. Glory to God!
