Lessons From A Mystic

One Sunday morning, while preparing for Sunday service, my Dad gave his clothes to my elder brother for ironing.
The shirt got burnt so badly my brother didn't know how to tell my Dad.
I was the one who eventually told him. When he saw the shirt, he said no problem, that he would still wear it to church, I was wondering how.
As his hand touched the shirt, right in my presence, the burnt part disappeared!
I looked for it, but couldn't find it.
That shirt became a wonder to me for a long time. Many times I would enter his room, just to go and examine that shirt.
When I asked him the secret, he said the same power of God that healed Naaman of leprosy and gave him a fresh skin could also fix a burnt shirt!

He then told me:
"If you expect miracles, you will see them".

One of the things my Dad protected himself from was the love of money.
Money never influenced his decision, the will of God did.
He was very contented.
When he was pastoring, instead of begging people for money, or manipulating church members, he chose to farm.
And he warned me over and over again about the love of money.

Always maintain a strong love walk, it enhances spiritual sensitivity.
Avoid strife, offense, unforgiveness, and bitterness!
Walking in love "fine tunes your spiritual antenna".

"DON'T SEEK MIRACLES?"

I am sure some of us must have heard or been told that.
But, have we stopped to ask ourselves how scriptural is that statement?

Moses didn't believe it was wrong to seek miracles, otherwise he wouldn't have ask God to give him a sign that would convince the children of Israel that God truly appeared to him.
(Exodus 4:1-5).

Gideon didn't believe it was wrong to seek miracles, otherwise he wouldn't have asked,.....

"Where be all His miracles which our fathers told us of."
(Judges 6:13).

Peter didn't believe it was wrong to seek miracles, otherwise he wouldn't have asked The Lord to permit him to walk on water.
(Matthew 14:22-29).

When I asked my Dad how was it possible for them (Babalola, Babajide, Oresanya, Akande, etc)in their generation to live in the supernatural daily.
His response to me was:
"Son, we walked in the miraculous because we always expected miracles.
We found miracles daily because we daily sought them.
If you want to see miracles in your life on a daily basis, then you must seek them because we only find what we seek for.
(Matthew 7:8)."

Five Hindrances to A Mystical Lifestyle.

Ignorance of our identity as New Creation.
A New Creation is beyond human.
He is spirit with limitless possibilities!
Complacency.
Many believers are too comfortable with ordinary expression of human life.
Traditions.
Any knowledge that rules out the possibility of supernatural, shouldn't be our reality.
Legalism.
Reputation.

Anyone who wants the supernatural to be his normal lifestyle must replace each of these five hindrances with something else.
1. Ignorance of our identity in Christ must be replaced with the accurate knowledge of who we are, what we have and what we can do as New Creation In Christ.

Complacency must be replaced with the desire to live in the supernatural naturally.
Traditions must be replaced with revelation knowledge.
Legalism must be replaced with spontaneity.
We must always be open to the spontaneous flow from The Holy Spirit.
Our reputation must be replaced with God being glorified.
If your reputation means so much to you than God getting the glory, there are some instructions from God you may not obey, because they will make you look so stupid or make people call you a magician/occultist..

If you will replace these five hindrances with the five things mentioned, you will walk in the supernatural naturally.

Son weight can be supernaturally reduced, removed or transferred.
He proved this very fact to me and my siblings on several occasions.

At times when we were about to leave the farm, he would first asked us to carry heavy load that our natural strength could not bear (e.g. tubers of yam or fire wood), after we must have shown him through our groaning, that we could in no way carry those things.
He would asked us to put our loads down, then proceed to either lay his hands on us or on the loads.
He would then asked us to carry the same loads.
And guess what?
They would be so light, we wouldn't feel their weight again, and me and my siblings will even be chatting on the way home.

As a child, my Dad told me so many stories of the supernatural.
He told me about times when the glory cloud descended upon the mountain where he and Apostle Babajide were praying ,in the night and lighted up the place.

During some of the revivals of the past, the glory cloud had manifested visibly, and on some occasions, children would run to the place where the cloud was and jump inside.By the time the cloud lifted ,these children would be glowing!

These things can still happen today.
The best days of the Church are not behind us.
Greater glory is coming!!!!!

THREE ELEMENTS OF A GLORIOUS SERVICE/MEETING.

The Scroll.
2. The Sound.
3. The Power Of The Holy Spirit.

When the scroll and the sound properly aligned, the power will be present, then ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!!!!

Son whenever a need arises, always think about at least three possibilities, then tune in to a spontaneous instruction from The Holy Spirit.

For instance, if you want to go on a journey and you are not mobile.
There are at least three possible ways that problem can be solved

God can provide the fare.
2. God can give you a free ride through favour.
3. God can give you supernatural strength to walk the distance.

When the children left Egypt, he gave them strength for the journey,

He also imparted strength to Elijah to be able to walk for forty days without getting tired, after an angel fed him.
4. God can supernaturally transport/translate you to the place.

Whenever there is a problem, always think about several possibilities first, then tune in to a spontaneous instruction from The Holy Spirit.

SPOKEN WORDS AND THE SUPERNATURAL!

The supernatural is a spiritual operation.

And behind every supernatural act/occurrence is a spirit or spirits.

All spirits (both evil and good) respond to and work with words.

Angels respond to and effect God's words.
Psalm 103:20.
Jesus cast out evil spirits with words.
Matthew 8:16.

Learn to always declare God's Word over your life, people and circumstances.

That is one of the ways to activate the ministry of angels (Psalm 103:20).

God is so powerful that He can cause whatever you need to materialize out of nowhere.
Never limit God!
And don't try to figure Him out with your tiny brain!

WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!!!!

Anytime you read about any of the miracles of Jesus, your immediate response should be:
Since Jesus said we will do greater works, what can be greater than this one I just read?

If you think like that, you will walk in the supernatural naturally.

We must ask The Holy Spirit for revelation knowledge in these four areas:

The finished work of Christ.
His sacrifice, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and enthronement.
The present position, authority, and glories of Jesus Christ.
Our identity, position, and authority in Christ.
Our inheritance in Christ.

These are very important things we must know.

When you know God as The Almighty, expecting Him to do the impossible becomes your lifestyle.

God was about to change an "impossible" situation in the lives of Abraham and Sarah, but the first thing He did was to introduce Himself to Abraham as The Almighty God.
(Genesis 17:1).

Your revelation of God (Who you know Him to be), determines what you expect Him to do.
If you know Him as a Healer, you expect Him to heal.

What gave Daniel such audacity to boldly tell the King that if given time, he would come back with the answer the King demanded for?

He had a revelation of God as "The Unveiler of the deep and secret things". (Daniel 2:16-23,28).
