Profess Your Divinity and Live It!

I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High (Psalm 82:6).

How can anyone read what the Psalmist penned in the scripture above and still preach, believe or teach a message that tries to convince God’s people that they’re mere humans? That isn’t consistent with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that “Ye are gods!” Even Jesus reiterated it (John 10:34).

Therefore, when you profess your divinity, you’re not arrogating anything to yourself that God Himself hasn’t already said about you. The more you have, and walk in the consciousness of your divinity, the better and faster your growth in Christ.

Everything in the epistle teaches us that our humanity was nailed to the Cross. Romans 6:6 tells us, “...that our old man is crucified with him….” When you were born again, you were born after Christ, as a new type of being. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…. Peter said, “We’re partakers (sharers) of the divine nature”(2 Peter 1:4).

When someone says, “We’re only humans,” it suddenly shows how ignorant they are of their divine life. If you say you’re human, you’ll suffer what humans suffer: the frustrations, depression, sickness, disease, lack, pain, misery, satanic oppression, and corrupting influences in this world. But if you profess your divinity and walk accordingly, you’ll live as a champion in this world, over and above the elements—the sufferings, distress, miseries and pain.

You might ask, “How about when we feel discouraged? Isn’t that part of our humanity?” But that’s the very thing that God said we must never allow. He said to Joshua, “I’ve commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged…”(Joshua 1:9 CEV). It doesn’t matter what happens to you; refuse to be discouraged.

No matter the adversities you face, be bold, courageous, and audacious in faith. James 1:2 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.” Humans cry when they go through tests and trials, but we rejoice because we know that in all these things, we’re more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Hallelujah!

You’re to be replete or fully loaded with all the will of God. This is God’s plan for your life. Hallelujah! That means you’re never in doubt or confused as to the will of God concerning anything, because you’re replete or fully loaded with the knowledge of His will. It reminds me of another prayer of the Spirit in Colossians 1:9, “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” Blessed be God!

Is this possible in the earth, for us to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding? Emphatically yes! It’s the Spirit’s desire for all God’s children. So what are you supposed to do? You say, “Yes! That’s my life; that’s my confession; I’m replete, perfect, and complete in all the will of God. I’m filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” Make this your constant confession.

Remember, the way to activate the power of God’s Word in your life is to respond; you acknowledge His truths and speak accordingly. Philemon 1:6 says, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”

The communication of your faith—that is, the way you live out and share your Christian faith—becomes effective, productive and powerful when you acknowledge every good thing that is in you in Christ Jesus. One of these good things is that you’re replete with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Hallelujah!

Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is (Ephesians 5:17).

The Word of God is the will of God. The more you study the Scriptures, the more you know the will of God, because you’ll be more acquainted with the author of the Scriptures.

If you know His will through the Scriptures, you’ll know His will in everything, including the minutest details of your life.

Sometimes, when people face daunting or challenging situations and cave in under the pressure, it’s because they don’t know the will of the Father. Peradventure you lost your job or business and began to question, “Oh God, why? How could this happen to me?” Such a response shows you’re not sure where you are, with respect to God’s will. If you’re certain that you’re in the centre of His will, remain unmoved.

In Christ, we’re ordained of God to live as rulers and reign as kings in life. The reason this hasn’t been the experience of many is that they haven’t learnt to walk in the knowledge of God’s will. Romans 12:2 tells us about the good, the acceptable, and the perfect will of God. The ultimate is walking in God’s perfect will, and that only results from fellowship with the Lord and His Word.

As you fellowship with Him through prayer, the study of the Word and meditation, you’ll know His perfect will, intent, and purpose. Through that intimacy, you’ll become more like Him, united with Him in thought and character. You’ll know what to do in every situation; all your efforts and resources will be consistently channelled in the right direction toward the right results. When you know the will of God, you’re filled with divine wisdom; you have insight into the mind of God, into the mysteries of the Kingdom.

Just knowing that you’re in the centre of God’s will gives you a sense of absolute mastery and dominion. You’re unruffled, even when you go through diverse tests because His Word is your anchor. Irrespective of the crisis or darkness, you’re full of joy, because you know that whatever you’re going through, “came to pass!” Great victories await you at the end of the story. Blessed be God!
