Cheating Husbands
Lonely wives
Damaged inside, laughing outside
Pleasure seeking
Treasures ruining
Bang!! bang! Thrill-seeking!
Lives ruining!
Her world!
No, not her world
Her scene
Her escape! Yes!
A place of fun in the dark
Her wild corner
Her fightback stage
Her shrine
Her parallel world
Quiet, responsive and responsible
She was a medical doctor
With a very successful practice
She was single and lonely and careful
She got into the nightlife scene
all by herself
She used to say she couldn't be a part
of it
Where do they get the time?
How do they function during the day?
How would anyone live like that?
Driving from club to club
Blowing money and time like fools
She called them the "Vampires"!
Then the loneliness got to her
It always closed in and hits unexpectedly
When she was idle and there was a lull
on her plate
She had fallen in love and gotten heartbroken
She needed the release
Just a drink and some shisha
Something wild to get her to sleep
Something different
She got to the lounge
The noise got her
 It kept her eyes open
People moving in and out of the shadow
Ladies dancing up a storm
Guys grabbing what they could
No, not a place of dignity
It was a place for the wild and the furious
She felt drawn into it
Pulled into the ambience
She returned again and again
Until she made friends
Guys who would buy drinks hoping
she would misbehave
She drank like a fish
She even surprised herself
How come she adapted to alcohol
that easily
She smoked too
Not too much
Just a little
It was her Batman cave
Her other life
Soon she was sleeping with one
of the married men
They dominated the club
Their wedding rings proudly adorning
their fingers
They had the money and wanted a fling
They offered only a quid pro quo
They spend and you ride
She never thought she would do it
She didn't need the money
She was a born again Christian
She kept her other life to herself
Nobody knew she lived that way
And yet a man came into the picture
They met at the club
A married man
A doctor like herself
He saw her and said "I will sleep with
you tonight"
She ignored him
Cheap shot
He went away
She forgot all about him
Around 4 AM After several drinks
She decided not to drive
He showed up and asked her if she
would like to come to his room
She didn't want to but it has been
a while
Everything was pent up
She needed the eruption
She followed him and she rode him hard!
She left him at about 6 AM
He was still asleep
She felt no shame
No remorse Only a sense of urgency
She had to be at work within two hours
She got home and rushed off to work
He called He didn't like the way she left
She made him feel cheap
She apologized
 What was she turning to?
But the nightlife has a twisted whistle
Once it calls, she must heed
As the day darkened, she laid on her bed
The noise comes
The music comes
A struggle begins
Stay or go, stay or go, stay or go
She becomes restless
A stirring begins
The call of the night starts and
always wins...
He had her over and over
She could resist him if she wanted to
But he was an offering of the night
A gift of the nightlife to her
They had sex and did small talk
He was married and she was not that
kind of girl!
She wished she knew what she
was doing
She wished she could turn...
On November 30, 2019
She met with the Brother in Jeans
and T-shirt
He was in Abuja for a hangout session
She went for the service
Met him after the service
As soon as he held her hands
She fell under the anointing
There was a pain she had been nursing
A sickness that lingered
The pain left her immediately
She rolled on the floor and writhed
as the evil pain was drawn slowly
out of her body
Wow!
When she got back to her feet she felt
light
He agreed with her in prayer that it
wouldn't return
Wow! God still loves her! Wow!
When she got home she made up
her mind
No more playing around with fire
No more alcohol
No more married men
The nightlife has changed her
Exposed her to a world
she was beginning to see as normal
Evil was becoming good to her
Her choices showed she was holding
the truth in unrighteousness
It had to stop
She stopped seeing him
She stopped drinking
She stopped smoking too
She started finding her way back
to the light
It was tough
The wild night's sway held fast
She must put self first
The pleasure of the night was like
the death of a thousand cut
Just another cut might be her end!

PS: There are so many lights
dimming their shine in order to
fit in!
He that is joined to the Lord must
depart from iniquity
Hanging around with the shadows
and cavorting with unbelievers is
a slippery slope
Remember Dinah!
She wanted to look like the women
of Canaan
It ended badly
