Lesson 1

Light and darkness are the same to you, nothing is hidden from you!

Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You. — Psalm 139:12

Psalm 97

1 The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice.
2 Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3 Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side.
4 His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles.
5 The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth.
6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all peoples see his glory.

Revelation 19:10

At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”

(Revelations 19, Revelations 20, Revelations 21, Revelations 22)

You will never see in the Spirit beyond the revelation of Jesus. You will never know in the Spirit beyond your Knowledge of the Revelation of Jesus.

God’s Realm — Darkness — Heaven — Darkness — Man’s Realm — Darkness — Hell

The darkness surrounding God’s Realm is not physical darkness; it is mystery, the unknown, the unfamiliar, the uncommon, secrets. The throne is light, and God is light.

The second level of Darkness is the Spirit realm. It is the light of Jesus with which we see through this realm. The more of Jesus you know, the further you can see and navigate this realm easily. For His light in You gives you light in your Spirit to see and to know the wonders of the mysteries revealed to you.

The next level of Darkness is the darkness before the realm of Darkness. It is malicious, evil, and choking for humans, but for the born-again Christian, it is nothing. It is this darkness that does not comprehend us. For we rule and reign over it by the Spirit of Dominion in Jesus Christ.

The natural man, the spiritual man, and the God-filled spiritual man.

God’s Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit (1 Corinthians 2)

6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him— 10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,

“Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.

The Spiritual Realm vs. The Physical Realm (2 Kings 6)

8 Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.
9 And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.
10 And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.
11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?
12 And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.
13 And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.
14 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night and compassed the city about.
15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
18 And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
19 And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria.
20 And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.
21 And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them?
22 And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.

Pay attention to the switch of realms:

Physical realm saw Danger.
Spiritual realm saw victory.

The spiritual reality of both men is different. The servant was in a valley. Elisha was on a mountain. The one in the valley is the carnal man. The Spiritual man is on top of a mountain surrounded by an innumerable company of angels.

The Spiritual prays that the eyes of the servant open. Eyes popped open and he saw the spiritual reality (the truth). Awesome!

Then with an assurance of the authority he has, Elijah asked that those who came to attack him may become blind (not physically blind but lacking in understanding). They were looking for Elisha, they knew his location, but they couldn’t gain understanding or the ability to process sight into information.

You have the ability to make others see by the Spirit and you also have the ability to shut down their sight. Who you are in the Spirit matters, know this person.

Following the Spirit

Your spirit man is doing something. Look at it. Then do it in the physical. This is what following in the Spirit means.

The Holy Spirit leads your spirit man. Your physical man must copy what the inner man is doing in the spirit. If you follow the Holy Spirit, you will act and live like him. Your Spirit is the only entity that can copy or imitate the Holy Spirit.

Remember this! Once you see it in the Spirit, move your body to copy it in your physical reality! This is how you follow the Spirit. You are a reflection of what you are being shown in the Spirit. To get spiritual results in the physical realm you will have to do what you have seen as done by the Holy Spirit in your Spirit.

You must be aware. Do! Do! Your soul must be aware of what your soul is seeing. Your conscious mind focuses on the now. This is why you can be driving now and be lost in thought at the same time. You will only be reacting to stimuli in your physical environment, but your awareness (conscious mind) is elsewhere.

Your conscious mind is simply reacting: The conscious mind of a child is not active in the first seven years of their existence. That age is called the hypnosis age. The baby’s subconscious is the only active part of his or her mind that is functioning. The baby is only downloading information from life and installing such.

Praying in Tongues & Reprogramming the Mind

When we are praying in tongues, most of us allow our conscious minds to roam about while we pray in tongues. This is possible because speaking in tongues does not require thoughts, imagination or the natural human mind to process. So, the mind is eliminated from the process of prayer.

But rather than allow the mind to stray we must then focus it on the word of God.

Stirring your Spirit

It is not as if those scriptures were not in your head or your mind before. You know them or you know the story or have an idea of it. Just then out of the stirring you will get a word for Now. It will just burst forth. And then subsequent words which are from your spirit will begin to flow forth out of that first one.

Once that is done, and you have heard it. You will not sit down and say I am waiting for it to come to pass. You have seen the picture of what is real in the Spirit. You then begin to act it out immediately.

Embracing Your Spiritual Identity

The day Jesus was born, A King was born. Jesus was not an ordinary guy who somehow became a king. He was born a King. In the Spirit He was God, the Son of God. But physically he was the son of two poor people. A peasant.

You will see that the angels did everything to prepare the mind of Joseph and Mary that Jesus was not an ordinary guy. So that they don’t treat him like an ordinary guy and train him like an ordinary guy. They had to be coached that Jesus was royalty and thus he must be treated that way. Not later when he becomes a King but at that moment when he was a King.

The angels wanted his parents to reflect his spiritual identity in his physical reality immediately.

Most of us will say: "When you become it, I will then treat you that way." You are a medical student, or you are a lawyer, but you have not yet graduated, yet so until you graduate I cannot call you Dr or Lawyer. This is not the right spiritual mindset.

If God says to you “You are my prophet”, It means this is who you are already in the Spirit. If you are wise, you will start prophesying. If you are foolish, you will be waiting for one spirit to come and move you so you can prophesy. This is the difference between those who know their God and those who don’t know their God.

I know my God, I am who He said I am and I reflect who He has made me in the Spirit.

Moses was a good example of a man who was born a deliverer. In the spirit realm, he was a deliverer. The demons in Egypt knew it and told the priests about it. The priests told Pharaoh about it. Pharaoh decided to kill all the male children of the Jews. So, in the Spirit, he was already a known and confirmed threat. Just like Jesus was.

You are already what God says you are in the Spirit. What then are you supposed to do?

The ordination of John the Baptist was from the spirit realm. The ordination of Jeremiah was from before he entered the womb. They were prophets before they were born. If they decided to be priests and carpenters after they were born, they would live a good life, but they won’t fulfill destiny. They will be living a life opposite to the programming of their spirit by God.

The same with a born-again Christian who is now a new creature but continues to talk about his family history, lineage, and family afflictions. He or she is not a new creature. Just a renewed old creature. Or a redefined old creature.

A new creature is defined by the Holy Spirit and his or her path set by God to fulfill his or her preordained destiny in Christ.

Remember this: What you see by the Spirit you act in the flesh. Bringing your body, soul, and spirit into full obedience under the mighty hand of God.

98% of what we were doing in life is as a result of the first seven years of our lives. What we downloaded as children, the stuff we saw and heard and believed affects our decision-making all our lives because it is after the first seven years that the conscious mind begins to operate.

The Condition of the Soul (Matthew 13:1-9)

The seed and the condition of the soul of a man when the word of God is being sowed into it. The state of your heart/mind determines how effective the word of God you hear is and how you respond to the word or make yourself react or act on it.

God said a man is healed or that he is blessed or that he can fly or that he is enlarged or that he should look as far as his eyes can see. But he remembered other times when things didn't work and began to doubt.

What you say continually reprograms your subconscious. This is why we declare and confess. Over and over. We are not lying to ourselves. We are reprogramming ourselves to align with the word of God regardless of what we were seeing or might have seen.

We produce the result in 100-fold, 200-fold. Some are producing only 30 seeing only some manifestation but not the fullness of the manifestation. Some seeing only 60%. You have to move to 100%. You can only do this by mimicking or reflecting the You that you have seen in the Spirit.

Lesson 2

Prayer without direction is a waste of time.

God never intended for us to pray by guesswork or to be led by needs in the place of prayer. We are supposed to be led. To be guided into the right place of destiny so that we can pray effectively as led by the Spirit.

Now the Lord said unto Abram, get out of your country, kindred, father’s house and into a land that I will show you. — Genesis 12:1

How God activates you to see in the Spirit is based on a principle. There is a way that God had ordained for it to be:

You have to come out of your country.
You have to leave the culture of where you live or where you were born.
You have to leave the conditioning of where you are from.
You have to leave your belief system.
You have to come out of the nature of the people you are around.
You have to come out of the mindset of the people who never dream bigger than where they are.
You have to come out of the situation where you project your insecurities and limitations upon your life.
You have to leave the mindset of your father and mother’s failures and limitations.
You have to come out of the limitations of your colour or your tribe.

You are not Igbo. You are not Zulu. You are not Yoruba. You are not a victim. You are not the one that was molested. You are no longer the one that was raped or the one that was falsely accused.

Seeing by Hearing

In the realm of the Spirit you see with your ears and you hear with your eyes. Information from God unlocks visions. Vision does not begin without God’s voice.

Hearing is key to unlocking seeing.
Your faith is unlocked by hearing not by seeing. If you saw without hearing, you end up confused. If you hear, you have understanding and the words form a picture or a vision in your heart.

Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and they follow me. The difference between God’s voice and the voice of the enemy is that the voice of God is ever consistent with his word and his sight. Any information that opposes the plan of God for your life is the voice of the enemy and you will not hear this in the name of Jesus.

You have come into the full measure of the power of God for your life and destiny.

You need to know God did it.
You need to believe God did it.
You need to know God is capable of doing it.
That is more important than seeing it.

The gospel is the word of God not the sight of God. Knowledge does not come by sight it comes by hearing. In the book of Revelation, John while taken up into the heavens saw many things he didn’t understand until it was explained to him by hearing. Hearing them is the key to discernment.

Those who are easily deceived are usually led by sight. They want to see fireworks and great signs. Jesus said this is the key to people being deceived. They are moved by sight.

The gospel is the word of God. The just is moved by faith not by sight. Faith is activated by following the instructions of God. Faith works by hearing always.

Abraham got to the promise land but he did not know he had gotten there until Lot left him. Lot was information from Abraham’s past who prevented the promise from coming to pass by his presence. Once he left Abraham, God said Abraham this is the Land I am giving you.

To see with result is to see with your ears.

John 6 (New International Version)

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand

1 Some time after this, Jesus crossed to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee (that is, the Sea of Tiberias), 2 and a great crowd of people followed him because they saw the signs he had performed by healing the sick. 3 Then Jesus went up on a mountainside and sat down with his disciples. 4 The Jewish Passover Festival was near.
5 When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” 6 He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.
7 Philip answered him, “It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!”
8 Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up, 9 “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?”
10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down (about five thousand men were there). 11 Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.
12 When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” 13 So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.
14 After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.” 15 Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.

Jesus Walks on the Water

16 When evening came, his disciples went down to the lake, 17 where they got into a boat and set off across the lake for Capernaum. By now it was dark, and Jesus had not yet joined them. 18 A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. 19 When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were frightened. 20 But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.” 21 Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.
22 The next day the crowd that had stayed on the opposite shore of the lake realized that only one boat had been there, and that Jesus had not entered it with his disciples, but that they had gone away alone. 23 Then some boats from Tiberias landed near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. 24 Once the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus.

Jesus the Bread of Life

25 When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?”
26 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”
28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”
32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”
35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
41 At this the Jews there began to grumble about him because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” 42 They said, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?”
43 “Stop grumbling among yourselves,” Jesus answered. 44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. 46 No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. 47 Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”
53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” 59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

Many Disciples Desert Jesus

60 On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?”
61 Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you? 62 Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! 63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. 64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. 65 He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”
66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.
67 “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.
68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
70 Then Jesus replied, “Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!” 71 (He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, who, though one of the Twelve, was later to betray him.)

Sight vs. Faith

Look at the passage above. Jesus fed 5000 men and many more women and children. The people saw (sight) the miracle and they began to say Jesus was the great prophet sent by God. But then Jesus began to preach to them that they may be transformed and become like him. This was Jesus’ end goal. For all of us.

The people began to grumble that Jesus called himself the bread of life. Sight didn’t produce Faith. It produced a fascination to see more and perhaps eat more free bread. They were willing to make Jesus King so that they can be eating free bread and not work again, but they were unwilling to believe He is the son of God.

We believe and therefore we see.
I believe.
Therefore I Speak.
Therefore I know.
Therefore I understand.
Therefore I see.
Therefore I become.

The work of God is this: To believe in the one He has sent.
What is in Jesus to believe? Was it his looks? No. His words.

You have to understand that you don’t do the works of God by force, you believe in Jesus (believing here indicates that you have not seen but you have heard). If I said “Believe me” it means I am telling you something you have not seen but I am asking you to trust my account of such. Believe in what you hear.

Mary was told she was going to have a child. She received by hearing and it was made manifest. She didn’t see to believe. She heard to believe. Zachariah was told the same and he didn’t believe.

God speaks to create. As soon as God speaks, something is created by the words of His power. Many want to see with their physical eyes, thinking that was how to see God and His works. They end up not seeing anything or knowing God as they ought to. Their faces were not enlightened because they were trying to see by the Spirit with their physical eyes.

Abraham didn’t see before he left, he only heard. The way God leads is still the same. This is Optasia, seeing as God sees. This is Optasia seeing by hearing. Doing that which was heard (Faith) and becoming that which was spoken.

When we meet at His feet in worship later today, be prepared in your heart to see by instruction. Do not get invested in the flesh while trying to do the Spirit. As soon as you hear from him, whatever He tells you to do! Do it!!

If he says dance, dance
If he says shout, shout
If he says bow, bow
If he says sit and be quiet, Do it

Beauty is not in feeding your senses with the entertainment value of the event. Beauty is in obedience. Sight does not give you Faith. Faith comes only by hearing. Once faith is activated by hearing, then we begin to see. For in His light we see light.
