The Holy Spirit and Healing (The Word Mindset)

The Holy Spirit and Healing (The Word Mindset)

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his (Romans 8:9).
It’s impossible to live the authentic Christian life without the Holy Spirit; as a matter of fact, what you’d have wouldn’t qualify to be called the Christian life. The Holy Spirit is the glory of Christianity. You couldn’t know God or love Jesus without the Holy Spirit. Christians who don’t have the Holy Spirit are vulnerable to Satan, to his attacks, manoeuvres, and manipulations emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, mentally, and physically
They fall sick easily and cannot find within them the power to rid themselves of diseases and sicknesses, this is why many of them throng from church to church visiting those who speak in tongues to heal them of their diseases despite not believing in tongues themselves
It is very ironic and pathetic
In Matthew 12:43-44, Jesus tells us something instructive, which in a sense, describes the condition of the one who doesn’t have the Holy Spirit. He said, “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.”
The one who’s born again but hasn’t received the Holy Spirit has his “spirit” swept and garnished, but empty! Consequently, he easily falls into temptations and sin. He’d be unable to control his fleshly appetites or restrain himself from evil. It’s only through the Holy Spirit that you mortify the deeds of the body and carnal desires: “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live” (Romans 8:13).
Without the Holy Spirit, you can’t have the character of Christ. Jesus had to have the Holy Spirit.
The apostles had to have the Holy Spirit. Life without the Holy Spirit is empty.
Some are full of the Holy Spirit but they have refused to renew their minds and live in full consciousness of his reality
They pray using the Holy Spirit as a form of religious experience, He is not their life!
No wonder they are plagued by many troubles and are unstable in their ways.
Some are always moved by symptoms, moved by fear and prevalent news and not by the word. Yet such will claim to be full of the Holy Spirit forgetting that the just can only live by faith and faith comes by hearing only the word of God and nothing else
Your life must be lived in conformity to the Word
If the word does not say something about me, i can never experience it
My life and times and reality has been clearly defined by the word
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19) as a child of God, your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 6:19), which means your body isn’t yours; it’s owned by God. However, you are the one to keep watch over your body and keep it in health. You’re the one to exercise authority over your body, keeping it free of sickness, disease and infirmity.
The words of Jesus should let you know that you’re not ordinary; you have the right to tell your body how it should feel. Tell your body what to do, and it’ll respond. Jesus said in Mark 11:23 that you shall have what you say. Don’t permit in your body anything that isn’t consistent with God’s Word for your life; take charge and rule over your body.
When you perceive the symptoms of sickness in your body, reject them. They only become real when you say they are. Your words aren’t empty; what you say comes to pass. Therefore, talk to your body always.
Don’t say, “I have a growth in my stomach and it’s hurting so bad. The doctor says its cancer,” Don’t talk about the growth; talk to it instead. Tell the pain to cease, and tell your body to function rightly in line with the life of Christ that’s in your spirit.
Christ literally lives in you! He dwells in your spirit and expresses Himself through your physical body. Your consciousness of this reality makes it easy for you to exercise dominion over your body against sickness, disease and infirmity.

SPEAK IN THIS MANNER
The Spirit of God vitalizes every fibre of my being! The God-life in me destroys sickness, disease and infirmities! I’m healthy and strong! Only the life and nature of Christ – His beauty and glory – are manifested in my physical body, because He perambulates in me, through the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!
I live above the systems of this world because the greater One lives in me! I’m not subject to the elements of the world, and my life is a testimony of God’s greatness. Divine might is at work in me; my strength is renewed daily, causing me to triumph over sickness and infirmity.
I refuse to be moved by what I feel, or what my senses tell me. I refuse to let my feelings dictate the circumstances of my life. Any symptoms I perceive are lying vanities because the life of God is in me and working through me. Therefore, sickness has no place in my body.
I thank you, Lord, for your life that’s at work in me, in every fibre of my being, in every cell of my blood and in every bone of my body. My whole being is immune to death, decay and the corrupting influences in the world! My path is the path of life, righteousness, joy, gladness and peace forevermore. Christ is my life; in Him I live and move and have my being.
I’ve been delivered from sin, sickness and death, and catapulted into God’s realm of abundant life. My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost; therefore, I am ‘uninfectable’.

Intercede For Others

The Bible says, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”(3 John 1:2) It’s God’s desire that men live in perfect health.

Luke 5:12-13 declares: “And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him” This was God’s will in manifestation.
Act 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”. Isaiah 33:24 (NIV) says, “No one living in Zion will say, ”I am ill…”
Pray mostly in tongues, and also intercede fervidly for those who are sick, that they receive the good news of divine healing and health in Christ; God’s grace and mercy extended to them for quick recovery and perfection, as the healing power of Christ is manifested in their bodies.
Pray especially for Christians experiencing various health challenges; that their faith be strengthened and the reality of divine health, which we have in Christ, would become their consciousness and vital experience. Declare that everywhere they are, they’re raised up healthy and strong, serving the Lord unhindered.

In praying for the sick to get well, there’re certain truths to be mindful of; otherwise, you may pray from sunup to sundown with little or no impact. First, recognize that God wants them well; He isn’t the one responsible for the sickness. Some believe God uses sickness to carry out His plan or to correct His children; that’s a lie from the pit of hell. No sickness or disease is from God.
Secondly, does that sick person want to be well? This would be an important question to answer. Jesus asked certain folks in the Bible who apparently were in distressing health situation the simple question, “What do you want?” So, it’s important the person is willing and ready to get well and that there’s mutual faith.
Thirdly, be in tune with the Spirit. The Holy Spirit can guide you to know whether or not a demon is responsible for that sickness or disease. That way, you’re able to deal with the situation. For example, the woman that was bowed-over in Luke 13, Jesus showed us Satan was responsible for her infirmity. The moment Jesus cast the devil out, the woman was healed.

Never be afraid of demons or evil spirits. The Name of Jesus is greater than all. We cast out evil spirits with words, as Jesus did. In Matthew 10:8, Luke 9:2, Luke 10:9, Jesus charged the disciples to heal the sick, and He didn’t ask them to pray to Him or to the Father to heal the sick. Evidently, we have authority from Jesus to heal the sick and bring health and joy to a dying world.
The Christian isn’t the sick, wanting to be healed. Sadly, that’s been the understanding of many. Being born again, you have the God-life; the “imperishable” life. As Jesus said, the Christian has the power to heal; he’s called of God to take healing to the world. Study the Scriptures and you’d find that’s what Jesus did; the Bible says He went about doing good, healing ALL that were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38).
The Apostles did the same thing; they ministered healing to the sick. We read, for example, about Peter and John in Acts 3, going into the temple and were attracted to a lame beggar who sat at the gate of the temple, asking alms of everyone entering and leaving the temple. Peter’s response was very inspiring; he said, “…Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength” (Acts 3:6-7).
Notice that what Peter had to give him wasn’t “prayer” or the power to pray. This is where some Christians miss it; they think God gave us “power to pray for the sick”; no! He gave us power to heal the sick. Read Matthew 10:1; it says, “And when he (Jesus) had called unto him his twelve disciples, HE GAVE THEM POWER AGAINST UNCLEAN SPIRITS, TO CAST THEM OUT, AND TO HEAL ALL MANNER OF SICKNESS AND ALL MANNER OF DISEASE.” Jesus gave us power to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease; not some manner, but ALL. So, it makes no difference what the case is; you have power to heal it.
Jesus said in Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; THEY SHALL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK, AND THEY SHALL RECOVER.” Put what you’ve got to work. Refuse to allow the devil run rampage in your life or in the lives of your loved ones in the form of sickness. You’re a healer; walk in this consciousness.
